Weekend Reflection

It's been a long time .....

....... since my last weekend reflection photo. 

But today I'm in.

The reflection is on the rim of a trombone in a sculpture made of wind instruments.

A Visit to the Zoo

I love going to the zoo. So on Saturday I invited a large part of my family to join me for the first visit in Spring to the Zoo Vienna. It was a great day for man and beast.

It was warm enough to go for a swim.

 Although others desparately tried to get inside where the food was.

 Some were just standing around enjoying the nice weather ...

 ... while others tried to hide.

 This guy (who is actually a girl) was relaxing in the sunshine.

And someone was really tired.

 As usual the wive is on the outlook ...

 ... while the man takes a nap.

 Some were really alert.

Others showed their best side.

 Some were opportunistic: "You got fish? I love you!"

 Others knew that their food was inside.

 And some just wanted to have their picture taken.

A weekend in Zürich

I spent a weekend in Zürich, Switzerland. 

The city is located at the Zürichsee, a large lake and surrounded by high mountains, all snowcovered at the moment. 

The city has many churches

and towers,

old houses,

narrow alleys,

and beautiful murals.

The trams go even up the hills.

And then there is this beautiful lake.

The weather was perfect and Spring is just around the corner. 

It was a great weekend - a beautiful city, meeting with good friends, eating the famous Fondue with Swiss cheese and a fabolous concert by James Taylor.
