Our earth's very own STAR

 

 

Sunday in Laxenburg

Laxenburg is a large historical garden, cultivated since medieval times. Today it is one of the places where Viennese love to spend their Sundays. Especially when the weather is as nice as this weekend.

There is a castle

and a temple,

a lake and some canals,

a few statues (sometimes you have to guess - is it a lion or a monkey)

and miles of pittouresque trails.

And the first signs of Fall could be seen everywhere.

My wish that came true

Whale watching was on top of my "to-do-in-life" list quite long. No wonder as I live in Austria, in the middle of Europe with no ocean for approximately 2000 kilometres in every direction.

But in 2011 we went to Australia's west coast - an incredibly beautiful trip. And even better - it was the season where the humpback whales migrated just along the coast. So whale watching we went. I still get goosebumps thinking of this experience.
